So I am sitting here watching Jimmy Fallon pondering the last episode of
"The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien". What a way to go out. I would have to say Conan did it perfect, with comedy and class. He started it out with his witty monologue where he commented" like everything in life, the fun has to come to an end a decade to early."
He then segwayed into his "Exit interview" conducted by an NBC employee who as it happens was "The Office" star Steve Carrell. And his first guest the man everybody loves, Tom Hanks. Hanks came out with two glasses of of scotch in his hand, gave one to Conan and said "it's been some week Conan."
I am not a big Neil Young fan, but it was very apropos at the time with a live rendition of "Long May You Run" Conan then defined "Class" by taking his final moment at NBC not to trash them, but to say he was very proud of what he created there.
They closed it out with Will Ferrell,Max Weinberg, Ben Harper, Beck and ZZ Topp doing "Free Bird" with Ferrel finishing with more "Cow Bell."
